These studies developed as a result of re-visiting my dance photography archive and an interest in creating a new sculptural choreography.

Unexpected juxtapostions – a still from Carol Reed’s “The Third Man” provides the backdrop for a hand-cut photographs of Merce Cunningham Dancers; a bullfighter culled from a magazine skims the surface of my video piece “The Audition” – a dialectic of movement printed on architectural paper.

These works/studies are an ongoing exploration into set and choreography design to be realized at some point in the future.
